Michele Hooper is a Senior Advisor to CamberView Partners.
Ms. Hooper is a highly-regarded governance expert and business leader with more than two decades of corporate board experience. Ms. Hooper is a frequent panelist, speaker, faculty member and boardroom advisor on governance and board committee issues.
Ms. Hooper currently serves as President and CEO of The Directors’ Council, a firm that specializes in corporate board advisory services and board recruitment and focuses primarily on diversity candidates.
She has served as Senior Independent Director as well as chaired key governance committees on the boards of directors of a number of public companies. Ms. Hooper currently serves on the boards of PPG Industries and UnitedHealth Group and previously served on the boards of AstraZeneca, Warner Music Group, Target, Seagram Company and DaVita Corporation.
Ms. Hooper recently retired as board member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and President of the organization’s Chicago Chapter. She has been a commissioner on numerous NACD Blue Ribbon Commissions on governance and has served as co-chair of the Blue Ribbon Commission on audit committees. She recently retired as a board member and former Vice Chair of the Center for Audit Quality, a public policy organization serving investors, public company auditors and capital markets.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Hooper was President and CEO of Voyager Expanded Learning and of Stadtlander Drug Company. Prior to joining Stadtlander, she served as President of Caremark International Business Group where she was responsible for the expansion of Caremark International into Europe, Canada and Japan. Ms. Hooper began her career at Baxter International, and as President of Baxter Canada, led Canada’s largest health care and laboratory supplies company.
